Do you have any tips for preparing the script before sending it to a voiceover person?
I do! If you read a script out loud before sending it to be recorded, you might notice things like: Some sentences might be over 35 words (usually not good). Missing/additional words. Incorrectly used words. These mistakes happen to everyone, and this is a great way to catch them.
What Equipment Do You Use?
I record in a sound-treated space using the RØDE NT1-A microphone, famous for being the quietest studio mic in the world. I combine this with a Focusrite Scarlett pre-amp and Sennheiser audio monitors.
Do You Do Longer Projects Such As Audiobooks?
I don’t usually do Audiobooks or very long projects, but I’m open to at least discuss it.
Can You Make Your Irish Accent Stronger?
Absolutely. I naturally have quite a neutral accent, but I’m from Dublin and can do a stronger Dublin accent very easily without sacrificing any clarity.
